Fewer change orders

Settle TV walls, speaker zones and access points at plans, while moving a dot costs nothing. After framing, that move is a change order.

No cutting finished drywall

Cable is cheap while the studs are open. The plan flags the runs that are hardest to add later so they go in before the board does.

Builder and homeowner on the same page

A clear, room-by-room list with plain-English reasons. Homeowners know what they're getting, and builders show they thought it through.

Prewire FAQ

What low-voltage should I prewire in a custom home?

Prewire what's hardest to add after drywall:

Every run comes back to one ventilated equipment location.

Is the plan a construction document?

No. It's a preliminary plan generated from your floor plan and our standard room recipe. Cable counts, exact locations and code items get set on the job, and a walkthrough with a SoulCraft pro refines it.

Where do Wi-Fi access points go?

In hallway, vestibule or closet ceilings near the middle of the rooms they serve, not in the center of a kitchen or living room ceiling. Covered porches and pool areas get their own outdoor access point location.

Which doors get a doorbell and which get a camera?

The front door and commonly used side or breezeway doors get a video doorbell, mounted on the latch side. Back doors, basement doors, garage entries and pool areas get a camera drop.

What happens to my floor plan?

It's used to read the rooms for your plan. Plans are read by Google AI (Gemini), which may use uploads to improve its products, so crop out names and addresses if you'd rather not share them. If you email yourself the plan, we keep a private copy so your link works and we can help if you ask.
